A New York high school student performs jazz riffs on the piano during a concert to mark the end of the Summer 2005 Music Improvisation Institute at Teachers College. The Institute is the brain child of Adjunct Professor of Music Bert Konowitz and The Center for Educational Outreach and Innovation (CEO&I). Students learn new improvisational skills and new creative possibilities for musical composition and performance during the course of the Institute, and have the opportunity to work with experts in the field of jazz performance.
